| | History: | 7 year-old boy with acute swelling and redness of the left hemiscrotum without apparent cause. Slight tension tenderness.

| | Pathomorphology or Pathophysiology of this disease : | Etiology unknown, possible connection to an allergic reaction in the course of a purpura Schoenlein-Hennoch (symptom has been described various times). | |
| | Radiological findings: |
 <- view Ultrasound
Ultrasound 1: B-mode depiction of the massively thickened scrotal wall, striped, heterogenic marking, partly decreased echoes as an expression of an edema. Testicles and epididymis inconspicuous.
 <- view Ultrasound 2
Ultrasound 2: Doppler sonography, considerable increase in vascularisation of the scrotal wall, vascularisation in the testicles and epididymis was inconspicuous.

| | Which DD would be also possible with the radiological findings: | Scrotal swelling in an inflammatory disease. Fournier's gangrene. | |
| | Course / Prognosis / Frequency / Other : | After other scrotal or testicular causes and self-limiting illnesses were dismissed, immobilization and local cooling. The patient recovered quickly.
In up to 90% - one-sided with obvious preference of the left side. | |
